Hips and waist measurenments

Measure where a male normally wears their underwear/trousers. The measurement will be higher in the back than the front. This measurement is more difficult to locate on a female but using the above placement you can approximate.
From the center front waist to the center back waist, passing below the crotch area.
Measure horizontally around the top of the hip crest, between the waist and the low hip. If you have problems locating the hip crest try palpating it, placing the hands in the left and right sides of the hip, making pressure and going upwards, the hip crest will be the edgy upper bony area, upwards that point you will only feel soft tissue. Make sure to measure horizontally, don't let it sag at the back or front.
